When it comes to industry expertise, Paul Smith has quite the resume. In his 20+ years of experience, he has led utility program operations in seven states, managed implementation efforts in 21 states, and formed nationally recognized utility consortiums to design, deliver, report and evaluate energy efficiency programs. Paul is responsible for Franklin Energy’s East Region, managing and leading energy efficiency and demand reduction programs across a nine-state area. A chemical engineer, Paul holds an MBA from Northeastern University, is a certified energy manager (CEM) and a certified demand side management professional (CDSMP). He has presented published work on natural gas efficiency and smart thermostats at various industry conferences.
