Service Concepts strengthened our ability to serve the cooperative utility market with product distribution, efficiency kits, and marketplace solutions. Their expertise in this segment enhanced our reach and delivery, ensuring co-op members have greater access to energy- and cost-saving products.

Resource Action Programs

Resource Action Programs expanded our ability to deliver energy and water efficiency kits alongside impactful school-based education programs. By adding a K-12 curriculum focused on conservation and sustainability, we’ve helped engage the next generation of energy-conscious consumers while driving measurable savings at home.

2016

GoodCents

GoodCents brought more than 40 years of expertise in demand response and residential energy efficiency, adding a critical load management component to our portfolio. It expanded our field services capabilities and strengthened how we support utilities in reducing peak demand while improving customer comfort.

2017

AM Conservation

AM Conservation strengthened our role as a leader in efficiency products, enabling us to manufacture and deliver our own high-performance solutions through trusted brands like Niagara Conservation® and Simply Conserve®. It expanded our capabilities in product distribution, energy and water kits, K-12 education programs, and utility marketplaces, creating more ways to connect customers with savings. Together, these resources allow us to deliver comprehensive, integrated solutions that scale impact across communities nationwide.

PlanetEcosystems

With PlanetEcosystems, we enhanced how utilities engage their customers by seamlessly connecting energy efficiency, demand response, and DER programs through automated participation pathways. The integration added powerful SaaS tools for behavioral engagement, home energy reports, and customer portals, creating more personalized and intuitive customer journeys. This capability has helped us boost participation, deliver measurable savings, and build stronger relationships with the communities we serve.

2019

Build it Green

Build it Green expanded our presence on the West Coast and strengthened our ability to deliver residential grid optimization, decarbonization, resiliency, and meter-based savings programs. By aligning expertise and resources, this acquisition enhanced our capacity to design and scale innovative solutions nationwide. It helped us better advance community-focused clean energy strategies that improve reliability and support a more resilient grid.

Cultivate Energy Optimization

Cultivate Energy Optimization added specialized expertise in indoor agriculture and cannabis facilities, advancing our leadership in this fast-growing sector. As a full-service energy management firm, Cultivate brough deep knowledge of efficiency strategies tailored to energy-intensive environments. This acquisition strengthened our ability to support the indoor agriculture transformation with scalable, industry-specific solutions.

Evolve Technologies

With Evolve Technologies, we gained patented water-saving innovations that deliver measurable energy, water, and carbon savings—helping customers cut costs without changing daily habits. The acquisition also expanded our product design and manufacturing capabilities, strengthening our ability to create and deliver efficiency solutions at scale. Together, these advancements have enhanced our role in providing sustainable, user-friendly technologies that drive long-term impact.

2024

Snugg Pro

Snugg Pro, the market’s preferred whole-home energy auditing and modeling tool, enables contractors to qualify households for deep energy-saving improvements, accurately model savings, and seamlessly integrate with IRA funding. With Snugg Pro, we expanded our digital toolkit with SaaS to better support contractors, utilities, and implementers in scaling residential energy efficiency.

2024

Energy Federation, Inc. (EFI)

EFI expanded our product line and marketplace capabilities, enhancing how we deliver innovative end-to-end offerings for clients. With additional product manufacturing, distribution, and rebate processing, we can serve programs more efficiently and at greater scale. This acquisition also solidified us as the largest provider of utility marketplaces in the industry, making clean energy products more accessible than ever.

2024

AESC

Descriptive Text: AESC expanded our consulting and engineering depth, adding program design, water audits, emerging technology analysis, and advanced M&V capabilities. It also strengthened our SaaS offering for large C&I benchmarking, energy analytics, and auditing, while scaling load flexibility, resiliency, and meter-based savings across sectors. With additional engineering talent and a strong West Coast presence, this acquisition positioned us to deliver more comprehensive, tech-driven solutions for clients nationwide.

2024

EVA Green Power

EVA Green Power added design/build capabilities with full-service delivery of energy efficiency, electrification, and distributed energy resource (DER) projects for large C&I facilities. From lighting and HVAC upgrades to solar, battery storage, and EV charging installations, this acquisition expanded our engineering depth and project expertise. It also extended our West Coast footprint, enabling us to bring turnkey clean energy solutions to more customers and communities.

Building a Sustainable Future Together

Sustainability is embedded in everything we do—from how we deliver clean energy programs to how we operate as a company. In 2024 alone, our work reduced 15.8 million metric tons of CO2, saved 26.2 billion kWh of energy and 99.2 billion gallons of water, and generated $750 million in local economic activity. We also created over 3,000 new jobs and directed nearly $59 million in incentives to income-qualified households. Guided by strong governance, equity-first practices, and a commitment to innovation, we’re proving that sustainability creates measurable benefits for people, communities, and the planet.
