We Energies Commercial & Industrial

We Energies is an electric and natural gas utility based in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, serving 1.1 million electric and one million natural gas customers in Wisconsin and Michigan. Through an RFP process, Franklin Energy was awarded the contract to implement a portfolio of programs under the umbrella marketing theme, “Energy Incentives from We Energies.”

Programs were launched in the fourth quarter of 2004. The portfolio of programs was designed to reach a broad mix of customer classes, three of which targeted commercial and industrial: Request for Proposal (RFP) Program, Prescriptive Incentive Program, and Custom Incentives Program.

We worked with the utility in the final design of the programs, determination of technologies to incentivize in order to reach goals, and developed an implementation and marketing plan.

The primary goal of the programs is to generate energy efficiency projects that reduce the utility’s peak summer demand. Through a turnkey program delivery process including marketing, incoming customer inquiries/call center, field assessments, engineering services, application processing, field inspection and incentive processing, these programs are on target to meet the energy demand goal of 28 MW by the end of 2008.
