Dan Tarrence

President of Corporate Strategy and Planning

Dan Tarrence was named President of Franklin Energy in 2007 after serving as General Manager for 13 years. He led the development of the internal infrastructure necessary to maintain success through a high-growth period, and is responsible for driving the company culture through the company's expansion. He leads the company's strategic business development efforts.

Dan has more than 20 years of industry experience. He has led many new program start-ups and developed innovative ideas that resulted in successfully engaging “hard-to-reach” markets. He previously managed the Commercial Programs for the Wisconsin Focus on Energy statewide energy efficiency programs for four years, oversaw multi-family programs for the state of Wisconsin, and led program managers of agricultural, industrial and residential programs. Dan began his career in the industry as a Program Manager, and later was Midwest Operations and Finance Manager for an energy efficiency implementation firm.

Dan earned an MBA from Arizona State University and a BBA in Finance from the University of Wisconsin - Whitewater. He is a frequent presenter at national conferences and has served as the chairperson of the Associate of Energy Services Professionals (AESP) Implementation Topic Committee since 2006.
