The incumbent is responsible for helping meet the business needs of the company providing technical and administrative support for the company’s database systems – both internally developed and externally managed. This position requires the incumbent to work with internal and external stakeholders (program and financial management personnel) in the analysis, design, development, and maintenance of databases as directed by the Director of Information Management. The Database Analyst / Database Project Manager* works within a team environment. (*title dependent on experience level)

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

•Providing design assistance, implementation, and maintenance for the company’s various MS Access-based database systems.
•Provide development, oversight, and management of the company’s investment in SalesForce.com,
•Monitor, evaluate, and improve the efficiency of all database systems.
•Providing day to day support for the company’s SQL Server-based systems – designing procedures and queries to meet stakeholder needs, optimizing performance.
•Provide support to all departments, as needed, utilizing the company’s database systems.
•Manage and appropriately escalate issues in a help desk environment.

Education and/or Experience:

•Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems or Computer Science.
•3-5 years previous experience preferred in MIS/Information Systems.
•2-3 years experience with database development and management
oMicrosoft Access – required
oSQL Coding, SQL server (Sybase preferred)
oMicrosoft Excel query tools
oSalesforce.com and force.com application development - desirable
•Knowledge and familiarity with front end and query tools, and database performance and tuning techniques.
•Help Desk and/or system and user troubleshooting and service experience a plus.

Assist Program Manager, Energy Engineers, and Energy Advisors working with business owners to provide energy advice and coordination services of building maintenance, lighting, controls, heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems for energy efficiency and comfort for the energy efficiency programs. Electric and gas measures are involved.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

•Assist in identifying and providing documentation of on-site opportunities for energy efficiency in large commercial and small business facilities. Provide follow-up as required.
•Assist in analyzing building utility bills to determine energy usage trends.
•Discuss technical elements of energy consuming equipment in a facility (lighting, HVAC, hot water systems, envelope, integrated design) and how it affects utility consumption and demand, to help build a business case to prioritize recommendations and how they affect savings and first cost.
•Enter data into MS Excel spreadsheets and WISeerts databases to determine energy savings and to manage current projects, collaborate with other Energy Advisors/Energy Engineers as required to maximize technical support to the client base.
•Serve as a technical resource for Energy Advisors as necessary.

The responsibility of this position is to provide program management and leadership to one of Franklin Energy’s energy efficiency programs in the Midwest or Mountain States. This position will manage a team of energy professionals working for our clients in achieving specific program goals. In addition this individual will manage a staff of engineers, energy advisors, project coordinators, and partner companies (subcontractors).

Provide energy advice and coordination services of building maintenance, lighting, controls, heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems for energy efficiency and comfort for the Focus on Energy, Commercial Program. Recommend or specify modifications to new and existing systems. Electric and gas measures are involved.

•Work with business and building owners, developers, architects, engineers and contractors to provide energy efficiency advice and assistance in participating energy efficiency or energy conservation programs.
•Identify and provide documentation of on-site opportunities for energy efficiency in buildings under design and construction; provide follow-up as required to the customers.
•Participate in QA/QC and internal audit activities.
•Analyze building utility bills to determine energy usage trends.
•Prepare and present reports and presentations.
•Discuss technical elements of energy consuming equipment in a facility (lighting, HVAC, hot water systems, envelope, integrated design) and how it affects utility consumption and demand, to help build a business case to prioritize recommendations and how they affect savings and first cost.

•Ensure compliance with all quality and safety policies as well as all OSHA regulations.

Education and/or Experience

•Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Architectural Engineering from an accredited four-year college or university.
•1-3 years engineering experience related to mechanical design, energy modeling or construction.
•A strong understanding of how systems affect energy consumption is required.
•Experience in building design, “green” construction and sustainable design preferred.
•Must be a self-starter, organized and have an ability to prioritize workload.

Provide energy advice and coordination services for Franklin Energy clients and customers. Introduce energy incentive programs that primarily focus on the Commercial and Industrial sectors.

The responsibility of this position is to provide program management and leadership to the Consumers Energy C&I program. This position will manage a team of energy professionals working for our client to provide implementation services for a commercial and industrial energy efficiency program providing prescriptive and custom incentives for commercial and industrial customers. In addition, this individual will manage a staff of engineers, energy advisors, project coordinators, and partner companies (subcontractors). The individual must also maintain a professional and cooperative working relationship with the prime contractor for the program.

•Manage the relationship with our partner company for the program (prime contractor).
•Manage a multi-million dollar budget over multiple years including allocations to labor, expenses, subcontractors, and customer incentives.
•Provide day to day leadership to program staff including managing education/awareness of program offerings, marketing activities, and assisting team to creatively meet or exceed the goals of the program.
•Monitor and manage program budgets to ensure full utilization of funds while meeting or exceeding activity based goals.

Provide energy advice, energy management skills and coordination services for Minnesota Energy Resources Corporation’s (MERC) “Turn Key” Large C&I Gas Program. Primary work will be in identifying potential natural gas saving opportunities at large commercial and industrial sites throughout the state of Minnesota. Recommend or specify modifications to new and existing systems as well as processes. Electric and gas measures are involved.

•Work with business owners, plant engineering staff, and trade allies to provide energy efficiency advice and assistance in understanding the steps to participate in MERC and neighboring electric utility efficiency programs.
•Identify and provide documentation of on-site opportunities for energy efficiency in buildings and provide follow-up as required by the customers.
•Assist with managing technical operations of the MERC Turn Key Large Gas Program.
•Participate in QA/QC and internal audit activities.

•Advanced degree preferred.
•At least five years management/supervisory experience including hiring, coaching, performance reviews, and mentoring.
•Proficiency in financial management.
•Three years plus experience in managing energy efficiency programs preferred.
•Experience in lighting, HVAC, and other technologies; including energy weatherization and air sealing service for single family and multifamily programs.
