View DetailsDirector of Human Resources - Full Time - Port Washington |
The Director of Human Resources originates and leads Human Resources practices and objectives that will provide an employee-oriented, high performance culture that emphasizes empowerment, quality, productivity and standards, goal attainment, and the recruitment and ongoing development of a superior workforce. Oversight of the following departments includes: Human Resources, Training, Safety, Benefits and Organizational Development.
The Director of Human Resources coordinates implementation of services, policies, and programs through Human Resources staff; reports to the VP – Operations and serves on the Leadership Team; and assists and advises company managers about Human Resources issues.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
•Strategically manage the recruitment, onboarding, training and retention of Franklin Energy staff through the oversight of the HR and Training Department.
•Directly supervise Human Resource Generalists that are assigned to each of the Franklin Offices.
•Supervise and provide support to the organizational development and training efforts across the company.
•Manage talent management process to ensure staff is trained within the Franklin Energy “Speed to Experience” process and providing value to our internal and external clients.
•Support staff to ensure the company is operating at the highest level of performance.
•Monitor business metrics and insure that they are met including, safety, productivity, and quality.
•Develop, recommend, and implement the approved HR departmental budget. Analyze and report on variances between actual and budgeted expenditures.
•Evaluate the results of overall HR operations quarterly and reports these results to the executive team in the quarterly update meetings.
•Manages the development and maintenance of the Human Resources sections of the Internet, particularly recruiting and culture; and Intranet sites.
•Serve as a member of the Leadership Team/Department Management team in monthly meetings and strategic decision making.
•Formulates and recommends Human Resources policies and objectives for the company with regard to employee relations.
•Partners with management to communicate Human Resources policies, procedures, programs and laws.
•Conducts investigations when employee complaints or concerns are brought forth.
•Monitors and advises managers and supervisors in the progressive discipline system of the company. Monitors the implementation of a performance improvement process with non-performing employees.
•Reviews, guides, and approves management recommendations for employment terminations.
•Leads the implementation of company safety and health programs. Monitors the tracking of OSHA-required data.
•Manages compensation and benefits administration;
•Provide a professional appearance appropriate for a representative of Franklin Energy.
Education and/or Experience:
•Requires a bachelor’s degree in business management, with seven to ten years of related Human Resources experience;
•Advanced degree is preferred.
•Must have proven experience successfully managing Human Resources across multiple offices in multiple states.
•Candidate must have proven leadership abilities.
•Must be self-starter, well organized and have the ability to multi-task.
•Candidate needs to be detail oriented and have an ability to prioritize workload and delegate appropriate work assignments to staff. |

Under the direction of the Customer Service Manager, the Bilingual Customer Service Representative will provide a high level of customer satisfaction by promoting participation in energy efficiency programs and addressing and resolving customer inquiries, problems, and complaints in accordance with company policies and procedures.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
•Answer incoming customer telephone calls in both Spanish and English and log all calls.
•Promote participation in energy efficiency programs that the customer may qualify for.
•Address and resolve customer inquiries, regarding products, services, billing, etc.
•Establish and maintain positive working relationships with customers by ensuring a high level of customer service.
•Address and resolve customer complaints and make recommendations.
•Make outgoing calls to customers for scheduling appointments, taking surveys, and promoting a program offering to a qualifying customer.
•Follow-up on customer calls not immediately resolved.
•Create and maintain customer files. |

This position will manage a team of energy professionals working for our clients in achieving specific program goals. In addition this individual will manage a staff of engineers, energy advisors, project coordinators, and partner companies (subcontractors).
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
•Manage the utility relationship and serve as an advocate for our client.
•Manage a multi-million dollar budget over multiple years including allocations to labor, expenses, subcontractors, and customer incentives.
•Provide day to day leadership to program staff including managing incentive promotions, marketing programs, and assisting team creatively meet the goals of the program.
•Monitor and manage program budgets to ensure full utilization of funds while meeting or exceeding energy savings goals.
Education and/or Experience:
•Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in business, engineering, or other discipline.
•Three years plus experience in energy efficiency programs preferred.
•Experience in lighting, HVAC, and other technologies installed in commercial and industrial applications desired. Ideally 2-3 years experience with natural gas energy efficiency measures for commercial and industrial businesses.
•Technical experience in developing and/or reviewing energy savings calculations to determine paybacks and incentive levels for customers.

Under the direction of the Commercial Energy Advisor, the Project Coordinator will provide support to energy advisors ensuring that information is accurate, files are maintained and continuously reviewed, and provide continuous communication with business contacts. This position is additionally responsible for managing customer grant processing, informing energy advisors of expiring grants and applications, and assisting Focus on Energy customers and clients.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
• Coordinate with all Green Bay Energy Advisors to ensure good organization of files, paperwork, and data entry as well as communication to the business contacts.
• Assist customers with understanding how to participate in programs, how to get project incentives, and coordinating paperwork/applications.
• Maintain, update, and add entries to the program databases accurately. This may require contacting clients and trade allies.
• Create organization and maintain a manual permanent project file system.
• Help maintain and update additional program spreadsheets relating to project tracking and scheduling of work.
• Help contractors and customers to ensure they have the correct information and marketing materials to promote the energy efficiency incentives.
• Provide assistance with customer service, scheduling and other issues as needed.
• Answer the telephone and assist with mailing materials when needed.
Education and/or Experience:
• High school diploma or equivalent required, and a minimum of three years of previous office experience.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Requires strong data entry skills (accuracy and speed) in entering information into tracking system database.
• Must be flexible to handle a wide work variety and work in a fast paced environment.
• Must be a detail-oriented, organized, self-starter, and have an ability to prioritize workload.
• Ability to identify and resolve project application issues with customers and trade allies. |

•Practice effective project management skills in leading this program.
•Manage the client relationship and serve as an advocate for our client.
•Provide day to day leadership to program staff.
•Leadin a team to creatively meet the goals of the program.
•Monitor and manage program budgets to ensure full utilization of funds while meeting or exceeding energy savings goals.
•Be a member of several working groups that will coordinate programs with other organizations working in the program.
•Develop and oversee the processing of energy efficiency project paperwork through energy efficiency tracking system.
Education and/or Experience:

•Advanced degree preferred.

The main responsibility of this position is to provide energy advice to a variety of business customer (commercial, industrial, agricultural, institutional end use customers) programs under management to the Minnesota/West of Mississippi program team. The Energy Engineer will provide energy advice and coordination services of building maintenance, lighting, controls, heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems for energy efficiency and comfort for Minnkota, MRES, MERC, Xcel. Recommend or specify modifications to new and existing systems. Electric and gas measures are involved.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
•Work with business and building owners, developers, architects, engineers and contractors to provide energy efficiency advice and assistance in participating energy efficiency or energy conservation programs.
•Identify and provide documentation of on-site opportunities for energy efficiency in buildings under design and construction; provide follow-up as required to the customers.
•Participate in QA/QC and internal audit activities.
•Analyze building utility bills to determine energy usage trends.
•Prepare and present reports and presentations.
•Discuss technical elements of energy consuming equipment in a facility (lighting, HVAC, hot water systems, envelope, integrated design) and how it affects utility consumption and demand, to help build a business case to prioritize recommendations and how they affect savings and first cost.
•Enter data into spreadsheets and databases to determine energy savings and to manage current projects, collaborate with other Energy Advisors/Energy Engineers as required to maximize technical support to the client base.
•Serve as a technical resource for Energy Advisors.
•Ensure compliance with all quality and safety policies as well as all OSHA regulations.
Education and/or Experience
•Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Architectural Engineering from an accredited four-year college or university.
•1-3 years engineering experience related to mechanical design, energy modeling or construction.
•A strong understanding of how systems affect energy consumption in a variety of commercial and manufacturing settings is required.
•Experience in building design, “green” construction and sustainable design preferred. |

Provide energy advice and consultation services for a specific set of large industrial or commercial customers. Identify opportunities regarding energy efficiency, create and facilitate energy management teams and introduce the various prescriptive and custom rebates that pertain to the customer.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
•Work with pre-qualified list of customers to develop and foster energy management principles.
